Ashlee Prentice - Choreographer and Company Member
Ashlee Prentice is an accomplished choreographer, teacher, and performer. She studies and teaches tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop, and break dancing. She has trained extensively under Wade Robson, Eddie Garcia, Shane Sparks, Puppet Master, and the LA Breakers. Her credits include performances for artists such as Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson. She has performed with Wu-Tang, Trina, and was a featured dancer on the "Source" Hip Hop Honors television and award show. She has also choreographed and performed in shows such as "Homeslice," "King of Pop," "Choreographer's Carnival," BB King Presents," and Carnival Cruise Lines to name a few. She was the choreographer for Radio Disney Artist Aaron James Karr. Ashlee moved from Las Vegas, Nevada where she was instructing Olympic bound gymnasts as well as contortionists for Gymcats. Since moving back to Utah, Ashlee has been a guest choreographer and teacher throughout the state including choreography for Odyssey 2 under the direction of Bonnie Story. Transfusion Hype, Ashlee's own Dance Company is selling out shows, providing dance workshops, a video/music production service, and a new clothing line. Currently Ashlee aims to help Utah's performing arts community's with the help of the new creative organizations and businesses in Utah.
Tina Spal - Company Member
Tina has participated in many high school and community musical theater productions such as Anything
Goes, Bye Bye Birdie, and most recently Beauty and the Beast. She is currently a guest teacher and
choreographer throughout the state.
Chelsea Ellis - Company Member
Chelsea Ellis trained at Center Stage and The Dance Club studios. Chelsea attended Southern Utah University on a Theatre Arts and Dance Masque Club Scholarship. After receiving her BS she went on to receive her Masters of Fine Arts in Modern Dance from the University of Utah, completing a thesis in New York. While in NYC she was a member of the NY Dance Collective Chelsea has performed at The Cunningham Theater, Dance Theater Workshop, The Slipper Room and the Abingdon Arts Complex in NYC. She has also performed as the 'Lady in Red' in How to Succeed, and was a featured dancer in Plaid Tidings at the Scera Theater. Her work and scholarship has been presented at Idaho State University's The Art of Gender in Everyday Life
Conference, Rocky Mountain Theater Assoc., The American College Dance Festival, Univ. of Utah Student and Graduate Concerts, Southern Utah University, KinPubs an online dance resource, The Fresh Fruit Festival NYC (Outstanding Performer of the Year Award), UDEO High School Gala, The International Dance Festival in NYC and most recently set a piece on the Utah Regional Ballet. Currently, Chelsea dances with hip hop and jazz company Transfusion Hype, is appearing in Trent Harris' lm Delightful Water Universe and teaches Jazz and Hip Hop at Utah Valley University, Jacqueline's School of Ballet and Classical Ballet Academy.
Leigh Cornu - Company Member
Leigh Cornu has performed around the nation, including the 2002 Olympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies. Leigh works as the Dance Department Head at Camp Vega in Maine, and currently teaches here at C & C Ballet Academy.
Abby Jardine - Company Member
Abby Jardine started her training in Ballet with Childrens Ballet Theatre at age seven. She then trained with Tatiana Dakshaeva, and Ballet West Academy. She participated in summer intensives with the Boston Ballet and Lines Ballet. Abby went on to the Washington Academy of Performing Arts, San Fransisco School of the Arts and San Fransisco Conservatory of Dance until 2005. Along with ballet and contemporary ballet, Abby is fluent and has studied modern dance, theatre dance, Jazz, blues, HipHop African and Capoeria.
Charly Andrus - Company Member
Charly was on Olympus High School's dance company and drill team, and was a dance company o_cer her senior year. In 2005, she attended Dixie State College of Utah on a dance scholarship. She was a member of Dance Illusion's "The Project" and has been an on and o member of "Sojourn" since high school. She appeared in Odyssey Dance Theatre's "Thriller" for ve years, The Ballet School's "Coppelia" (under the direction of Jan Fugit and Rene Daveluy), the 2002 Paralympics Opening Ceremony, Intermountain Ballet Theatre's production of "Coppelia", and Disney's "High School Musical 2" as a background dancer. She choreographed for Olympus High School's Dance Company in 2006.
